As I write, the world is standing together. People from across different countries and societies are standing strong. United.
In times like these, it’s easy to be fearful. In times like these, it’s easy to cast blame and shadows of doubts. In times like these, it’s easy to fill our hearts and mind with hatred.
But what if I said, “in times like these, it’s easy to imagine?”.
We need to imagine a world which is united by compassion. We need to imagine a world which rises above these callous threats and attacks. We need to imagine a world which isn’t brought down by shields of terror.
With attacks happening on an hourly, daily and monthly basis, on our nearest doorstep, to across the world. It doesn’t matter where or when. The fact is, we need to pull together. Knowing there are people in this day and age who ultimately risk their lives living on a daily basis – how can we even begin to understand their fears?
We’re facing a time when we need to stand united and strong together. Over many years we have witnessed a whole massacre of attacks, surely we should be doing so already?
Our world is crumbling away at our feet as we know it. It’s time we imagine together, walk united and rebuild as one.
“We’ve learned to fly the air like birds, we’ve learned to swim the seas like fish, and yet we haven’t learned to walk the earth as brothers and sisters…”
– Martin Luther King
